【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversbrickintendedforuseasapavingmaterialinareaswithahighvolumeofheavyvehiculartraffic.Theunitsaredesignedforuseinsuchplacesasstreets,commercialdriveways,andaircrafttaxiways.TheseunitsarenotintendedforapplicationscoveredbySpecificationsC410orC902.1.2Unitsaremanufacturedfromclay,shale,orsimilarnaturallyoccurringearthysubstancesandsubjectedtoaheattreatmentatelevatedtemperatures(firing).Theheattreatmentmustdevelopsufficientfiredbondbetweentheparticulateconstituentstoprovidethestrengthanddurabilityrequirementsofthisspecification(seeTerminologyC1232).1.3Brickmaybeshapedduringmanufacturebyextruding,molding,orpressing.Brickmayhavespacinglugs,chamferededges,orboth.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
