【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtosimulatethecorrosionprocessofnon-ferrousmetalsindiesellubricants.Thecorrosionprocessunderinvestigationisthatbelievedtobeinducedprimarilybyinappropriatelubricantchemistryratherthanlubricantdegradationorcontamination.Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundtocorrelatewithanextensivefleetdatabasecontainingcorrosion-inducedcamandbearingfailures.31.1Thistestmethodcoverstestingdieselenginelubricantstodeterminetheirtendencytocorrodevariousmetals,specificallyalloysofleadandcoppercommonlyusedincamfollowersandbearings.1.2&si-value;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
