【摘要】:1.1Thisguideprovidesrecommendeddesignsandproceduresforthefabrication,installation,operation,andreadingofsettlementplatformtodeterminethemagnitudeandrateoffoundation,fillsettlements,orbothgenerallyunderafillorembankmentload.Twotypesofsettlementplatformsaredescribed-thosebemonitoredbyelevationsurveysfromanexternalbenchmarkandthosethatincludeaninternalreferencesystemsupportedonunyieldingsoilorrockbeneaththecompressiblelayer(s)ofinterest.Thisguidedoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgement.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
